Joint Agencies Group
The Joint Agencies Group (JAG) was formed in 1982 when a number of development, environment, international and youth work agencies came together with the shared the aim of establishing a global dimension to the youth work curriculum. JAG members played a key role in the development of the concept and practice of global youth work. The group now supports its development, delivery and promotion throughout the youth sectors.
Our Vision is of a world in which all young people should be able to access good quality opportunities to explore and play a positive role in the changing global environment in which they are living and learning.
Mission
- To support the strategic development of global youth work
- To advocate policy developments that help mainstream global youth work
- To encourage the development of good global youth work practice within member organisations and across the different youth sectors
- To share information and good practice
- To provide spaces for networking, learning, communication and collaboration
We meet up to four times per year with regular email contact between meetings. Everyone in the group contributes to chairing and preparing the agenda.
