Incitement to freedom: competencies of political education in a world of difference

Wolfgang Sander asserts that political education is an important aspect of development and global education. He illustrates the challenge of political education’s multiperspectivity in the modern world and asks which competencies are required to incite freedom and deal with different perspectives. His examples are drawn from Germany but his thesis would apply equally to political, civic or citizenship education elsewhere.
