African organisations and African youth

Article from Development Education Journal, Volume 8.3.

The relationship between young black people living in Europe and the region of origin of their family develop within a complex context. Chukwu-Emeka PF Chikezie explores this context and looks at the way one African organisation has helped young people to reflect on and engage with the culture clash which may exist between the generations. He highlights the need for an acceptance and fostering of cultural multi-lingualism if young people are to be able to understand and contribute to development.
