Engineers Without Borders is a student-run charity whose mission is “to facilitate human development through engineering”. Its volunteers provide development NGOs in the UK and overseas with technical assistance during work placements. Students at UK universities undertake research for partner NGOs. EWB-UK branches host talks and run training programmes to further understanding of development issues and practice. The charity is preparing to launch a lecture course entitled ‘International Co-operation: Technologies for Human Development’.
