Sign the Global Learning Charter

Why sign the Global Learning Charter?

If your organisation believes that learning can help tackle some of the big issues that we collectively face such as sustainability, intolerance and poverty then signing the Global Learning Charter will show your support.

Signatories believe our future decision makers and workforce require 21st-century knowledge and skills to succeed in an ever more globalised world – but many UK children don’t get this Global Learning.

Business leaders fear young people aren’t ready for the global workforce and 93% say schools must help young people to think more globally. Three-quarters say that by not so-doing our country will be left behind. More about the poll research with business leaders.

Teachers also worry, 2-in-3 say young people’s horizons aren’t broad enough to operate in globalised, multicultural economies. More about the poll research with teachers.

This is not just about getting a job, people who don’t learn about global issues are half as likely to take positive social actions around justice or sustainability. Global learning helps us operate despite complexity and tension between social & environmental goals. More about the poll research on the impact of global learning.
