Half day workshop for professionals working with troubled children and families

Following a popular series of mental health workshops last year, Bore Place are offering a new, half day workshop suitable for teachers, youth workers, social workers and others who work with children and young people.
Where: Bore Place, nr Edenbridge, Kent TN8 7AR
When: Friday 8 July 2016 10.30am-2pm
The workshop is facilitated by Paula Conway who has over 20 years’ experience working with children, young people and families.
During the session we will:
- consider the impact of intergenerational neglect, abuse and trauma
- consider the position of the health worker/social worker/teacher, what is expected of you and what is realistic
- explore what to do when “help” becomes the problem
- look at strategies for improving/sustaining engagement with parents of troubled children.
